Who are we?

We are a small personal company providing quality chimney cleaning service to the St. Louis metro area with experienced and educated technicians.

Clean Sweep Chimney Service was founded in 1977. We were inspired by an article in the Mother Earth News, and we became a Missouri corporation in 1980. We were founded by Victor Imgarten who continues to work in the field to stay abreast of the current problems and issues associated with fireplaces, chimneys and home energy issues whether it is with a home or business. No company in the State of Missouri can boast of longevity equal to us. Hundreds of companies in the area have come and gone and many may be on their fourth or fifth owner. We are were still proud to be family owned with the first and only owner working in the field to insure the best service the industry has to offer.

Clean Sweep continues to lead the way in the field of chimney safety. We are proud of our past and are no strangers to being first and leading the way for the industry and homeowners. We were first in the state to offer internal video chimney inspections, the first to offer European chimney lining and sweeping methods and the first to offer power sweeping of chimney systems. We continue to look for new and innovative products and services to improve and simplify our customer’s lives and make your home and the earth a safer and more efficient place for all.

The Presidents Award, the Leavitt Award, and the Groah-Bures Award. Only one other company in the country has been privileged to have received all three industry awards.

We are members and supporters of several Associations and have industry credentials unmatched in the area.

No one in the State can equal our training, longevity and industry involvement. When it comes to chimneys, chimney sweeping and safety we literally helped write the book.

As a result Clean Sweeps employees are involved in an ongoing continual education process that no company in the area can match. All employees have passed a background check and we are fully insured with completed operations insurance.
